Minister of National Missions Orit Strock on Thursday evening visited the outpost of Evyatar in Samaria and called on the government to speed up the process so that what was agreed upon with the previous government can be implemented immediately.

The residents of Evyatar have long called on the government to fulfill an agreement that was signed with them. The agreement stipulated that the residents would leave the outpost of their own accord and, in return, Israel would convert the site into a hesder yeshiva.

Strock, who visited the abandoned synagogue in Evyatar, said, "I came here to the Evyatar synagogue, which unfortunately is still abandoned and the entire community is abandoned."

"This government is doing many things that bring light, but this place of Evyatar, that we agreed to return to, is still abandoned, and this darkness and the fact that the place here is abandoned is intolerable and unreasonable and we will not be able to put up with it," she continued.

"We demand to return to Evyatar," the minister stated.
