Former President Donald Trump blasted President Joe Biden’s first post-State of the Union state visit.
Appearing in Florida, Biden was denounced by Trump who described his State of the Union address as “disastrous.”
During part of the speech, Biden’s first since Republicans won a slim majority in the House, the president attempted a bipartisan tone, saying: “We're often told Democrats and Republicans cannot work together… Yes, we disagree plenty, and yes, there were times the Democrats went alone. But time and again, Democrats and Republicans came together.”
But Trump was having none of it, describing Biden’s trip to Florida as the latest instance of “this puppet of the radical left who is hellbent on destroying our great country [who] actually believes he can win Florida… The very state that I flipped back into conservative hands for the first time in over a decade.”
“Not only will we run him out of Florida in a landslide – we will crush Biden and Kamala in every last battleground state of 2024,” Trump predicted.
“Just think of what has happened to our country in the short time between my final State of the Union address and Biden’s speech the other night,” he added.
Trump listed what he considered the accomplishments of his administration, comparing them to the current state of the country, which he described as a “laughingstock on the world stage” being destroyed by “lunacy” under Biden.
“When I was your president, our economy was booming like never before. We were not only energy independent, we were energy dominant,” Trump said. “Our border was secure. Our streets were safe. We were tough on China and Russia. Simply put, we were winning! But today, Biden and Kamala have turned the United States into a laughingstock on the world stage, all while hardworking Americans are crushed under their left-wing lunacy.”
