Three IDF soldiers were lightly injured on Monday when a jeep overturned near the Palestinian Arab village of Azzun, on Highway 55 in Samaria.
It appears the jeep overturned after the driver tried to avoid hitting a commercial vehicle that intended to cross the intersection. The jeep was tossed from side to side and overturned before stopping.
The jeep involved in the accident was a David-type bullet-proof jeep. Among the three soldiers who were lightly injured was a company commander, and they were evacuated to hospital for medical treatment.
The IDF is investigating the circumstances of the accident.
Last week, a 20-year-old Israeli combat soldier from Netanya was killed in an accident near Kibbutz Mefalsim in the south.
